Port Nikau is based in the heart of Whangārei’s world-class marine precinct, offering top-quality services and experienced contractors for any refit or renovation work including engineering, electrical, sailmakers, hydraulics, mechanical, rigging, canvas and covers, insulation, fine woodwork, refrigeration, boat builders and more.
To protect our environment, strict measures are in place for in-water refit work. Talk to our Marine Manager for further details.

Port Nikau can assist with berthing or bunkering if needed.

There are parking spaces available to you free of charge on the Port Nikau main wharf attached to the superyacht marina.

Port Nikau will provide information and support to manage your own refit or repair projects. There is no mandate on the use of certain contractors and we can help connect you to the right tradesperson for your project.

Port Nikau can support you in finding an efficient and reliable crew to deliver your yacht or assist on a voyage when you are short-staffed.

Detailing
Port Nikau can arrange for experienced marine contractors to complete detailing work, from exterior stainless polishing to steam interior cleaning.

Haul Outs
Our neighbours at Port Whangārei Marine Centre offer an efficient haul out service with its 100-tonne and 560-tonne travel lift, an extensive sealed hardstand area, and a full range of marine facilities. Also close by is Ship Repair NZ (Heron Ship Repair), an experienced ship refit and repair specialist with a 2,000-tonne capacity slipway.
