Port Nikau is located 12 nautical miles from the Whangārei Harbour entrance in tranquil harbour waters. The port is close to key arterial routes, amenities and facilities. Less than 5km off State Highway One, and less than 4km to Whangārei’s central business district, Port Nikau is easily accessible by boat or vehicle.
Port Nikau is situated just 2km from one of Whangārei’s largest employment and industrial areas in Port Road and Kioreroa Road. Whangārei CBD is a short 5km cycle or drive away and it is just 9km to Whangārei Airport. The nearest supermarket and shopping centre are less than 3km away.

Following a three-year expedition sailing around the world raising awareness about plastic pollution, the Voice of the Oceans crew has made Port Nikau their temporary home.
