Port Nikau Marina, Whangārei

We're excited to welcome you to the Port Nikau Marina, a small and growing marine commuity! Blair and the team are here to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Please make use of our modern guest facilities:

  • Barbeque

    A barbeque and patio area is available for on-shore cooking and mealtimes – a great way to socialise with other boaties.

  • Berthage payments

    Choose from three different ways to make your berthage payments:

    • Pay with your EFTPOS or credit card over the phone: 027 2216940
    • Payments can be made in person at the Port Nikau Office (325 Port Road, above the Acropolis Café Bar & Grill), Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm.
    • An invoice will be sent to the email address per your registration form and an electronic transfer can be made.
  • Bathrooms and laundry

    New toilets, showers and laundry facilities are located at the Marina Facilities compound. This includes a washing machine and dryer with a fee of $6 per cycle.

  • Courtesy car

    Port Nikau offers the use of a courtesy car for your convenience should you need to get supplies from town. For more information, contact Blair, our Marina Manager. Terms and conditions apply.

    There are also a variety of transport options, including taxis, which you can find in our marine directory.

  • Free WIFI

    Please enjoy free WIFI on your boat:

  • Mail

    Your mail or courier packages can be delivered to:
    Port Nikau Development – Head Office
    325 Port Road, Whangarei 0112

    Please include your name and your vessel name. For large deliveries that require a forklift to unload, contact Blair, our Marina Manager, for the delivery address.

  • Marine directory

    Use our local marine directory to find everything you need during your stay, including world-class refit and maintenance services, local transport and activities.

  • Restaurant

    Acropolis Café Bar & Grill is a locally owned Mediterranean restaurant located right next door, perfect for your morning coffee or evening meal.

  • Rubbish and recycling

    General rubbish and recycling are located at the Marina Facilities Compound at the top of the marina.

  • Waste oil facilities

    Waste oil facilities are available in the overflow carpark beside the Port Nikau Head Office, next to the Port Nikau Marina.

  • Sewage

    A free sewage pump-out service is available; contact Blair, our Marina Manager for more information.

Port Nikau Marina Facilities

The piers are located next to the historic Tide Gauge building where the Acropolis Cafe, Bar and Grill is located, perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening meal with a marina view. Port Nikau is a five-minute drive or an easy ten-minute cycle from Whangārei CBD where you can find all the amenities that you will need during your stay.
